Today, we need someone to drive the Technical vision and coach the other developers in the Analytics Squad. We created the Tech Lead role to help developers with the technical aspects of their jobs, such as coding and planning, and coordinate the delivery timeline with Product Managers and Product Designers. As a Technical Lead you will:
be the point of contact for all technical topics from the squad (you can then redirect to another member of the squad)
be the coach for the other developers of the squad (do Performance reviews and Career Path assessments)
keep coding since management will take ~20% of your time

Within 3 months you will:
Support your product squad: each squad has clear goals for innovation (e.g. driving users to create more courses), while also maintaining and improving product features and codebase that fall under its scope
Follow and coach the software engineers of your squad
Start identifying our developers’ key strengths and areas of improvement to help them grow
Solve proactively challenges the developers are facing
Lead Performance Reviews and Career Path assessments calibration
Work with the CPTO and the Engineering Director on maintaining your squad’s engagement
Within 6 months you will:
Share your best practices within the team
Create your own courses on the 360Learning platform
Suggest and implement process improvements in the squad
Maintain a good team spirit, for instance by organizing team-building activities (sync or async)
Ensure your team is able to ship valuable features, while maintaining the timing and the quality
Work with the product manager to define the product vision and set the technical direction for that part of our platform
Share process improvements with all the squads, and help them implement these changes
Push for technical innovations in the squad and outside
Identify the career next steps of your team members and define an action plan to reach them
The Skill Set:
You have either formally or informally served as a tech lead/mentor/coach for a team of software engineers working on a Saas platform for 2+ years.
You have led technical initiatives in an environment where performance, reliability, and accuracy are paramount and where “feature development” and roadmaps are measured in months and quarters.
You have significant full stack programming experience including experience with Agile methodologies, SaaS software architecture, and modern programming languages
You have a product-oriented mindset and care deeply about the customers and the customer experience.
