Online Teacher, Computer Science

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Online Teacher, Computer Science based in United Kingdom.

This is a fully remote teaching opportunity focused on delivering personalized, live Computer Science education to students around the world.
You will work one-on-one with motivated learners, helping them build strong technical knowledge and practical programming skills.
The role covers core areas such as programming, algorithms, data structures, computational thinking, and problem-solving.
You will adapt lessons and teaching strategies to individual student needs while creating an engaging and supportive virtual classroom.
Regular assessment, feedback, and targeted instruction will help students make measurable academic progress.
You will also contribute to educational resources and use digital tools to deliver a modern, technology-enabled learning experience.

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality live Computer Science lessons tailored to individual student needs and learning objectives.
• Teach core Computer Science concepts, including programming, algorithms, data structures, computational thinking, and problem-solving.
• Use varied teaching strategies, digital tools, and interactive techniques to create an effective and supportive online learning environment.
• Assess student progress regularly, provide constructive and targeted feedback, and adapt teaching approaches to improve academic outcomes.
• Plan and communicate clear course schedules, including lesson content, learning milestones, and assessment timelines.
• Assign meaningful homework and design and administer appropriate assessments aligned with student learning goals.
• Develop high-quality educational materials and contribute to broader teaching and learning resources.
• Maintain a professional, organized, and engaging virtual classroom while communicating effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in a school setting; tutoring experience does not count toward this requirement.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Computer Science concepts, programming, computational thinking, and problem-solving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Familiarity with online teaching platforms and a strong interest in technology-enabled education.
• Previous experience teaching Computer Science at secondary or high school level is preferred.
• Experience teaching an international curriculum is an advantage.
• Strong programming knowledge and experience teaching languages such as Python, Java, or similar technologies is preferred.
• A recognized teaching qualification, such as a postgraduate certificate in education, teaching degree, or teaching license, is preferred.
• Previous online teaching experience is an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills, adaptability, and a student-focused approach to teaching.
